Big O cattle Co. is a 374 Acre
spread located in the rolling hills of the Southern Tier of
New York.
Big O Cattle Co. is named after my father the late Rev.
Oliver Edwards Sr. He believed that people should get what
they pay for in choice livestock. We believe it to be highly
important as-well. We currently produce two breed of cattle.
(Black Angus and Herefords) We thrive to produce the best
cow/calf herd in the valley.
Our cow/calf operation is fully automated which alerts us to
wean our choice calves from the cow at the right time and
weight. Doing this will ensure us that the cow and calf will
maintain their daily gain, health and profitability.
Here at Big Cattle Co. we have respect for the environment
and wildlife. Our herd benefit from the sharing of pastures
with Wildlife. Both herd and wild game fertilize our
pastures and graze in the heavy brush where mowing is almost
impossible. We also have land hunting leases that help make
feeding our winter herd economical.
The kids really enjoy the wild geese, deer and the
occasional fox now and then. Not to mention the coyotes that
roam the region.
