Farm is currently on ten acres in central NM. We raise many
types of livestock and poultry for breeding stock, laying
eggs, incubator eggs, chicks, meat, wool and hides. Our small
greenhouses provide much of our own feed through hydroponic
forages as well as an acre and a half market garden.
We
compost everything and are using it to raise many types of
vegetables and fruits on our extremely alkaline soil. We use
both raised beds and low till methods for our planting needs.
Drip irrigation is our main method of watering.
This year we will be raising 350 pullets for a laying
contract, a number of ostriches for a meat contract,50+
turkeys and guineas for Thanksgiving orders and a few assorted
pigs, calves, lambs and cabritos for local orders.
We are seeking a larger farm in NM to meet our growing needs
and can do this with a low/no down and on contract.
